This web site is dedicated to all rail commuters who suffer the constant frustration of rail delays and cancellations.We make it easy for you to exercise your rights under the rail charter and be reimbursed for poor service.

Simply submit a delay form by sending a brief SMSTXT when you are delayed. Text cost just 25p plus your standard rate text.

What we offer

Currently the only way to claim for a delayed service is to complete & post a claim form.
SnailRail takes the process one step closer to automation by saving your generic data and linking this with TXT data you send when delayed and e-mailing the completed form to the rail provider. All you have to do is wait for the claim to be authorised by the train operating company and wait to receive compensation through the post.

How the SnailRail delay system work's

This is an on-demand service and cannot process delays in the past.
It is designed for season ticket holders who regularly commute to work
We capture the majority of your information required to complete the form via our web site 'Myticket' page
With your data captured you are now ready to complete a form by texting 81025 with the word 'DELAY' and the departure time i.e. Delay 17:25
When you send the text we determine the date and time from the message
Your journey origin and destination is determined by the time of the text - AM denotes travel to work, PM denotes travel from work
Your delay form is automatically e-mailed to your mail address for you to check and then issue to the rail operator by e-mail or free post
Every time you purchase a new ticket you need to update your details on the 'Myticket' page
